And Like
The word "like" is being used informally more than ever within the spoken words of the students here on campus.
Students on campus pass by each other in mass amounts every week day catching a small amount of the conversations in their surroundings. Some students can not help but notice how many times the word "like" is used in a series of statements.
Trevor Nelson believes that students these days watch too much reality TV and that is the influence behind the words use. Nelson said "the word like is like filler for these kids."
Perhaps the English professors at the University should give oral tests so that students can diminish the use of this word.

Leopard vs. Windows
Apple computers have become a little more prominent on campus because over the past several years students and faculty have become aware of some of the Leopard OS advantages.
The Apple Corporation in the last decade has been developing computer software and hardware that looks flashy and runs well. The downfall for the Windows (all versions)is that this operating system is susceptible to an abundance of viruses and spy-ware.
Erica Gattis still confides in the Windows operating system. Gattis has been using Windows her whole life and does not plan on changing anytime soon. Apple is too expensive Gattis claimed.
Both operating systems do have their advantages however the slick look of the Apple hardware has gained popularity.

NDSU was almost shut-out when they played Oklahoma on Friday night. The score was a devastating 14-1.
Jon Robinson is a fan of OU Hockey. Robinson emphasized that the Sooners are attacking a lot more than they had in previous games. The offense has become more aggressive said Robinson.
A chance for redemption will happen 6:30 tonight at the Blazers Ice Center.

Art Students Play With Raw Iron
Many spectators gathered when the sculpting department of the Fred Jones Fine Arts College conducted their iron pour.
The sculpting department here at the University of Oklahoma has been practicing iron molding for several years not always drawing a crowd. They use a small blast furnace to melt a few gallons of iron at a time. Many students had several mold casings that were filled with the molten iron.
Samantha Dillehay is a student who participated in the event. She revealed that the furnace uses coal to get the heat going and substance called coke to burn off all the impurities of the metal.
Various shapes, animals and busts were the result of this campus inferno. Few will be on display at the Fred Jones Fine Arts Building.

Mad Money Brings Attention
A section of the north oval was taken up when a CNBC video production crew arrived at the Donald Reynolds Performing Arts Building to shoot the daily series of Mad Money.
Jim Cramer is the host of this TV show and the entire production is on a tour known as CRAMERTOUR15. There was limited seating for the public however there was more than just a television production going on. Four big bowls of candy were being offered to the public and Chesapeake Energy was involved as well flashing their customized bike that was built on the famous T.V. series Orange County Choppers.
Taylor Woodruff is a student here at the University of Oklahoma who was on the scene. He confirmed that the place was full and has turned out to be a real success.
Despite the full auditorium students were more than welcome to come up, ask questions, eat candy, and look at a spectacular motorcycle.

Walk Sign is On
Students have adapted to a new voice this fall semester because of the vocalized crosswalks that were installed over the summer.
The University of Oklahoma and the City of Norman joined forces to make sure that every stop light at every intersection on campus will talk to pedestrians and give them a countdown.
Victoria Mireles has been going to school here for over 3 years now. "You know, I have never encountered a crosswalk like this before. I don't like them at all. I think the voice is very annoying along with the little sound effect."
Of course not everyone can be happy, but lets take into consideration that a blind person now has an audible signal to pass.
